About the Presenter
Dr. Niccole Bruno, is the CEO & Founder of blendVET, a veterinary workplace certification program in diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging (DEIB). Dr. Bruno received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Tuskegee University in 2002, and before graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 2006, founded VOICE alongside fellow veterinary school colleagues. Formally named Veterinary Students as One in Color and Ethnicity, VOICE was developed to aid in fostering an inclusive atmosphere for Cornell veterinary students and bring campus-wide awareness to the deficits surrounding diversity in the veterinary profession. Today Dr. Bruno continues in her efforts of diversity, equity, and inclusion through speaking engagements, mentorship, and building the pathway of BIPOC students (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) into the profession with her creation of blendVET.
