Neurodiversity in Veterinary Medicine: Embracing Minds That Work Differently

Description: This module explores neurodiversity in the veterinary profession through the lens of lived experience, education, and leadership. Learners will deepen their understanding of neurodivergence (such as ADHD and autism) and discover practical ways to support themselves, their teams, and the broader community through inclusive leadership and communication practices. 

Learning Objectives: 

1. By the end of the module, learners will be able to define neurodiversity and describe its relevance in the veterinary profession.
2. By the end of the module, learners will be able to recognize common experiences and challenges faced by neurodivergent team members.
3. By the end of the module, learners will be able to apply inclusive strategies to support neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.
